Directangle Reading Room

Coming soon to a sidewalk near you! The Directangle Reading Room is a mobile library packed with artist books and zines—publications that have been produced by artists in our studio, for artists in our studio, and all kinds of other bound works we've collected along the way.

Inspired by bookmobiles of the past, we converted a vintage travel trailer to house our studio reference library of artist publications, inviting visitors from near and far to peruse our traveling collection and discover letterpress and risograph books, zines, and more.

The Directangle Reading Room also contains our Residency Archive, showcasing printed and bound works made by past resident artists while at Directangle Press.

Library Submissions/Donations

We're actively adding work to our rolling collection. Our Reading Room is a non-commercial endeavor. It's a reference library for discovery and inspiration, and we happily help visitors find where they may purchase works they're drawn to.

If you feel like your work would be a good fit, please feel free to mail books and zines to the studio address below, Attn: Reading Room Submission, and email us accompanying information about the publication and artist.

Due to limited space in our library trailer, we rotate what's rolling with us at any given time. Any works that are not in the trailer at any given time are actively utilized in our studio resource library by the 70–90 resident artists we host each year.
