This 3-hour workshop is an introduction to the risograph printing process. You’ll learn the basics of how these funky machines work, how they’re being used in print and design today, and the ways in which you can push and pull the process.
The first portion of the workshop will focus on material exploration. You’ll get to experiment with different mark making and collaging techniques and create a sample sheet to take home with you. We’ll provide a wide range of materials, but you’re also welcome to bring anything specific you want to try!
Once you’re comfortable with the machine and how the process works, you’ll produce a small edition of your own two-color 8.5”x11” risograph prints. Start from scratch or bring along that design you’ve been waiting to see come to life! The group will exchange prints at the end of the workshop, so you’ll go home with your own risograph print collection.
